When is duct replacement necessary
Aluminium conductors have a service life of 30-40 years. Connections loosen over time, transition resistances increase and junction boxes overheat. This is the most common cause of electrical installation fires in older flats. We recommend replacement whenever:
- you have original aluminium distribution pipes (typically in prefabricated and rental buildings up to 1990),
- The circuit breakers trip when the electric kettle and microwave are switched on simultaneously.
- The flat lacks residual current devices and earthing in the sockets.
- Are you planning a kitchen or bathroom renovation? New appliances will not cope with old circuits.
What the replacement includes
A complete electrical installation renovation with us means the entire chain: not just laid cables:
- design of circuits based on actual apartment usage (kitchen, washing machine, air conditioning, home office)
- chasing grooves with dust extraction and finishing.
- copper distribution lines CYKY, separate circuits for large appliances,
- new distribution board with residual current devices and surge protection, described circuits,
- low-voltage work to order: data sockets, TV, preparation for cameras or video doorbell,
- initial inspection report and actual wiring diagram.
How much does an electrical installation renovation cost
The indicative rate is from 1 950 Kč per square metre of floor area excl. VAT, for a 2+1 apartment of approx. 55 m² the price starts from around 110 000 Kč including the distribution board and inspection. The final price depends on the number of installation points, wall material and the scope of low-voltage work. After an inspection you will receive a fixed itemised estimate.
How long does it take and how much demolition is involved?
Rough installation in a 2+1 apartment takes 4-6 working days, with final completion after repainting requiring another 2-3 days. We cut grooves using industrial extraction and cover furniture and flooring. We can manage the renovation even in an occupied apartment, room by room.
